Considering the tectonics of the land, instead of solving the physiotherapy and hydrotherapy programs on a single ground, we aimed to increase the possibilities for spatial and urban enrichment and to utilize the richness offered by the topography by spreading them across two different grounds. Paşa Dede Street, the road from which the project area takes its elevation, drops to +76.00 meters in the northwest part and reaches +79.50 meters towards the south end. Accordingly, we proposed connecting the program with two grounds between these elevations.
The first level is at the +80.00 elevation, which is the level-foot elevation at the southern end of the site, and the other level is at the +76.50 elevation, which is taken from the north of the street. Thus, by strengthening the structural relationship with the ‘Park-Street Axis’ with which we establish an urban relationship, we have transformed the ground floor into a holistic ‘micro-urban space’ with the park-street and the approach coming from Dumlupınar Street with a 5% slope.
Enabling Garden
This garden, directly connected to the entrance area on both levels, aims to provide visitors with an alternative sense of space during their waiting period. One arm also overlooks the staff休息室 (rest room), encompassing various units of the administrative block. It is also suggested that healthcare workers, the primary actors in this space, should have a direct connection with this garden.
This garden area, which overlooks the second largest hydrotherapy pool, is designed with vegetation to reduce the humidity created by the pool area, creating both a daylight separator and a natural therapy space.
