Parkent Masterplan - Village 1 Settlement

The project area, located in Parkent, Uzbekistan, aims to establish a low-to-medium density ski resort and chalet complex with a three-stage master plan in line with its future vision. We have completed a concept design study for the Village-1 (Phase I) area of ​​this complex.

Masterplan Decisions and Functional Segregation

The expected basic functions for the area were: Residential-Hotel Areas, Ski Slope, Concert Area, Open Parking, Wildlife Park, Ethno-Village, and Social Area facilities. We attempted to define the placement of these basic program inputs on the complex through the natural thresholds and plains offered by the topography.

In this context, we prioritized establishing collaborative relationships before dividing the area into programs. Accordingly, we proposed the hotel area on the northern slope of the region to have a direct connection with both the landscape and the ski areas. We added separately defined social facilities to this slope, aiming to resolve the residential-hotel areas and social facilities within the same zone (zone-2) and increase the amount of walkable space in the area.

We defined the area with the least direct sunlight and the steepest slope as the ski slope. We defined the northernmost part of this area as the social area of ​​the hotel-residential facilities (2) and the southern valley as the event/concert area (1,6), connecting this network of relationships at a larger scale with a proposed cable car system.

We proposed that the area, surrounded by pine and spruce trees and also featuring a natural pond (3), be used as a natural life park.
